As I had just learned how to play poker I thought that a computer game would be the best way th hone my skills, and it was at first.
BUT after a couple of days playing on it the game became predictable. I knew if I raised high enough they would fold, and 9 times out of 9 if I went all in they would fold.
If I could go back in time I would not have bought this game and I would have used free online poker websites.

First of all, I hate it when people leave a review saying it's great or it's rubbish. That tells me nothing, a review is not an opinion it's a breakdown of a product.
So, Battle of the Bracelets, the... third installment (I think) into the WSOP series. Despite what the others said I believe this to be a vast improvement and seperate game to Tournament of Champions. The graphics are considerably better, but still lacking for a PS3 game. The players are slightly more challenging but still very predictable, but that's a good thing because a poker game on a console is aimed at beginners not seasoned poker pro's, pub regulars, and other self-proclaimed 'good' players. If you are just starting out, or you've even been playing for some time (not too long) and want to improve your game then this is perfect and a lot cheaper then trying to learn in the casino or online, because you don't learn until you start losing. If you are confident in your gameplay then don't bother with this it's too easy.
Phil Hellmuth is your teacher this time instead of Fergusson, eventhough Fergusson's teaching was more wholesome Hellmutrh does bring in some interesting points.
A major downfall in this game is the play time, it's so slow even for a poker game. Also adding this new blackjack mini game was pretty poor. On top of that the online play is dire I was on there 5 minutes and didn't see a hand, literally and I joined the hand while it was already on the river.
Buy this game if you liked the previous one or both, and want to learn more about the game. If you are unfamiliar with poker then either buy the previous installments first o go for Daniel Negreanu's Stacked. On a personal note, I learnt how to play poker with one book and the console games and I've made some good money on the game sinse. If you already know your poker then don't buy this game... wait if you already know your poker then why the hell are you looking for a poker game on a console anyway. If you have no interest in poker then don't buy this game either.
In short this game is intended for learning purposes and putting into practice what you know, if that's what you want then great, go buy this.

I played both of these poker games when I was out in the states and this game is way over priced and not as good as High Stakes. I heard the High Stakes will be on the PSN very soon out here. The world series game doesn't have audio, video, or psp remote play like the High Stakes game has, so it is a really boring online. Plus you can download the Playstation Network poker and don't have to find the disk just to play. The world series game also lookes really rushed and has exremely slow gameplay. Go for the Vegas Strip Poker!
