We play Katamari Forever... (PS3). Balls. That's what Katamari's all about. Indeed, that's what a Katamari is - a big, sticky ball. That's what it's been since Katamari Damacy debuted on the PS2 in 2004 and that's still the way it is ...

Product Description
Featuring the largest collection of stages, modes, songs, and cousins to date, remixed classic Katamari Damacy tunes, a brand-new storyline, multiple new visual effects and 1080p graphics, Katamari Forever is the ultimate Katamari experience. Staying true to the eccentric Katamari universe and its unique gameplay, players in Katamari Forever will use the Prince's Katamari to roll up everyday objects. The more objects the Prince rolls up, the larger his Katamari becomes, allowing him to roll up even bigger items. In Katamari Forever the Prince faces his toughest challenge yet with more weird and wonderful Katamari to roll up than ever before. A terrible event has occurred causing the stars to disappear from the night sky and the King of All Cosmos to fall into a coma. The Prince must use his finely tuned Katamari rolling skills once more to re-create the absent celestial bodies, save his royal father and restore order to the Cosmos. Thumb tacks, sushi, cats, people, skyscrapers, ocean liners and continents - nothing is safe as the Prince makes his way through the largest variety of stages ever in a single Katamari game. New graphical styles give Katamari Forever a certain "je ne sais quoi" that all-new Katamari games possess. The Wood style uses warm sepia tones to give stages a wooden feel while Comic creates thick black outlines on every object, filled in with deep, rich colours. There are various styles to choose from, so make sure to try them all out and find your favourite for a totally new way to experience the world of Katamari. In addition to all these great new features, Katamari Forever will also contain local cooperative and competitive multiplayer modes. Choose your favourite cousin and play together or take on friends and family in heated competition. Who will become the Katamari champion?

| Customer Reviews: what a shame! May 3, 2010 Barry J. Calvert (manchester) 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
i heard great things about this game and was really looking fwd to it but when i loaded it into my ps3... nothing! it wouldn't load so i had to return it.... very disappointed!i gave it full marks because i had to give it a score before it would let me carry on and i'm sure i would have loved this game what a shame!
So much fun! April 9, 2010 Muggy Nothing I can add that the other reviewers haven't covered other than that this game is addictive. Really. At one point, I was thinking that I'd need some sort of surgical procedure to have the controller removed from my hands .... lots of fun, nothing offensive, weird humour, much satisfaction.
Awesome! January 28, 2010 NinjaPSPete (United Kingdom) Just like its predecessors but much more fun this time round as you have the ability to jump! All in super lush HD too! ;)
[KK] Katamari Forever Review January 15, 2010 Mr. H. S. A. Chan (UK) 0 out of 12 found this review helpful
Each rating is out of 4. I've chosen 4, b/c if it's out of 5, you have '3' as the middle number and that's pointless. With 4, 1 & 2 means is towards bad and 3 & 4 is above average, worth getting.
Trophy difficulty: 2 out of 4
Comment: You have to play the game about 3~4 times to get the platinum. It's not exactly hard if you get your head down and do it. But I've never been a Katamari fan, so I find it abit boring and end up switching over to a different game in the end.
Music: 4 out of 4
Comment: A variety of funky Japanese tracks are played throughout, you'll be surprised
Graphics: 3 out of 4
Comment: The same ol' cel shaded style, really suits the game, a carefree relaxing mood.
Gameplay: 2 out of 4
Comment: Basically you have to roll up objects in each level, it varies from a time limit to rolled up obejct size. Can get abit repetitive.
Additional info: N/A
Overall: 3 out of 4
Really nice game January 8, 2010 Rasmus Svendsen My first Katamari game!
You roll the ball around picking up cheese, bicycles, harmonica, elephants and so on..
The maps are themed and you get different missions in each map but mostly you just have to roll your ball until it is very big.
I'm playing it with my girlfriend and she enjoys it too I think. We have yet to try co-op mode because we lack a second controller but I'm guessing co-op is fun too.
The drawback is that the handling is a bit funny to get used to, but you will adjust quickly I think.
