| Customer Reviews: Paradise June 3, 2010 M. G. Hatfield (North Wales UK) Burnout Paradise is a good game and believe me that high prasie coming from me who is not huge fan of driving games but I couldn't stop playing this game.
The original version of the game is better in some ways but this has a few merits and added bits but nothing ulimate.
If you are a fan of this sort game then this version may be more your version than the original there is plenty of gameplay contained with in Paradise City with many challenges like MARKED MAN & TAKEDOWN.
But racing is more your style then you will have your shot in PARADISE CITY limits but the races are no holes barred you may get TAKEN DOWN even if it isn't that event and be careful your car can only take so much punishment before it fails you.
This game may convert non driving gamers to fans I wasn't able last a few hours before palying this game again it gets addictive I have found myself palying for almost 24 hours solid this is a great game for all racing fans and none fans.
There is plenty for the hardcore Burnout gamers all your favouries are inculded like SHOWTIME where you total your ride and create havoc on the roads of Paradise City hit those buses.
This is a great game and at great price on Amazon this will keep you entertained over the summer holidays.
Not bad June 2, 2010 Nathan J. Ives (London, UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful

Not like previous Burnout games May 18, 2010 afrowoman 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I was very disappointed to find you can't play this game in split screen two player mode like previous burnout games. Apart from that the graphics are great. Pity you can only use the multiplayer option online or you have to make do with some rather silly party games, Criterion please bring back the two player mode which you can actually play with someone in the same household!
Superbly crashtastic March 17, 2010 M. R. Greenhead (London) I bought this for my son (now 8) as he had played it with a friend and Christmas was coming. He spent the first days just pootling around the streets trying to crash the cars and not doing too much. I sat with him and he got used to the cars (they behave differently) and the various challenges.
Then I had to stay at home and thought I'd give it a go while he was at school (it's probably my first driving game since Pole Position on the Atari 400!) and I was hooked. There is so much challenge to getting the new cars and working up the licences. The game is fairly easy at first, however many times you crash on the D licence you can still win. However get on the B and it is a lot, lot harder.
We haven't tried a lot of the game such as the time challenges, there is so much to do. For the price this is exceptional value and a game you will definitely come back to.
My 3 top tips are:
- I have only just found out how to start a race again, either when it has finished or during it (eg when you are last and not long to go). I had previously driven all the way back again which takes time. So all you do is RIGHT on the D pad and follow the menus. Simple (and a pain I didn't find it a week or so ago!).
- Buy the online pack, which has every single add on. This adds a new island with new cars (toys, police etc), and a whole heap of new stuff. I wouldn't get this right away as you will want to see if you like the game and also I think it spoils it if you get everything right from the start. I couldn't find it in the Burnout store (it is time limited) but it is still in the PS3 store.
- Change the songs (which are pretty good - Stand and Delver for example! - using R1. Sometime you get a bit of classical and it gets on your nerves a bit!
Oh, and there is an online mode which I'm sure take the game to another level, but I haven't even tried it yet.
Overall for the money and enjoyment I really enjoyed this game and highly recommend it.
