| Customer Reviews: SBK X is king of the 2 wheel racers..!!! September 7, 2010 A. P. Andrews (County Armagh) I love racing games but mainly the 4 wheel kind...I tried MOTO GP some time ago on a demo and was put right off it!!!...I always wanted to give motorbike racing games a go but remembering my previous demo mishap I never did....until now.
I went the full monty and bought MOTO GP 09/10 and SBK X (Special Collectors Ed.)...So I proceeded to give both games a fair crack of the whip. I was once again deeply dissapointed by MOTO GP 09/10 but having read recent reviews I guess I should have known better, poor handling and REALLY tacky Arcade feel!!...thankfully I made the calculated move of buying SBK X...a biking game I never as yet tried....I was TOTALLY blown away!!...not only by the graphics and sounds but ultimately the superb gameplay..it strikes the perfect balance of biking sim and video game. You can set the gameplay to suit your style of racing and increase difficulty as you go along. I love it and would highly recommend it to the non-initiated as I once was... and also to prospective purchasers alike....Needless to say I'm selling my MOTO GP game....I have since tried a demo of MOTO GP 08 which was actually quite playable...but I'll stick to SBK for now :-)

The game great. if you like Gran Turismo or Grid, youll Love it. Far better than MOTO GP.very realistic, you have good and smooth controls easy to use. I played it on full simulation. less forgiving but well worth the effort. given 1 hr youll be a master. Its clear the other guy cant really drive ,or ride. playing arcade games like nfs wich are good fun but not really driving.!!!!! This is easy on arcade and Brilliant on full simulation. depending on your level. 4.5
Pros only? June 22, 2010 Jim Brown 1 out of 12 found this review helpful
Everything following is viewed from the perspective of a casual gamer. I played in arcade mode with difficulty set to easy, both quick races and career.
There are two major flaws:
( 1 ) There is no auto-braking feature. When the curve indicator arrow turns from green (= speed OK) to yellow (= speed too high) and you do not hit the brake within a fraction of a second, you are out.
( 2 ) The controller's steering stick is too responsive. The bike sways from one side to the other, usually off track. There is no option to adjust the responsiveness, nor does the game cushions erratic commands from the controller.
I know that practicing makes perfect (I played a dozen races with three laps each, but I cannot see much improvement), but that is not an option for a casual gamer anyway, having succeeded in managing a couple of car racing games previously (F1CE, NfS-S among others).
So: Arcade? No. Easy? No.
