Product Description
PES 2009 is the latest installment of the award-winning Pro Evolution Soccer Series, which is known by millions of fans for its superior gameplay and incredible realism. For PES 2009, Konami is already planning a raft of extensive new additions that will further bridge the gap between PES and the real thing. The new game has undergone a stunning graphical update to ensure its players look and move even more like their real-life counterparts. Similarly, all-new options allow users to tailor the game to their own tastes, while new moves, innovative new control elements and key online elements will further the realism of the new game. - New player models, AI elements and physics routines
- 'Become a Legend' mode - Start your career as a rookie midfielder or striker and work your way through the ranks to become a pro. Play in your favourite attacking position and work as part of a team, as opposed to controlling every player.
- 'Legends' online mode - Use your saved 'Become a Legend' player in online matches with like-minded friends, and show off your skills on the larger online stage.
- Redefined intricacies of first touch, close control and ball distribution
- Enhanced shooting and AI mechanisms
- The new control system makes full use the D-Pad and analogue stick to perform contextual tricks and feints within the players run.
- Weather, air resistance and ground friction all have an affect on the balls motion - alter your play to match the conditions just like in real-life.
- Teamvision AI has been extended allowing computer controlled team mates to adapt their tactics more realistically.
- A reworked Master League means a players' loyalty and mood now affects their performance on the pitch.
- Enhanced realism through aesthetic updates, including stadium environments and atmosphere.
- Improved depth of field thr

| Customer Reviews: Gift February 11, 2010 Mr. A. Zivic (london) Bought this for a mate for xmas, apparently not as good as FIFA but he seemed to enjoy it and it was delivered fairly quickly so yeah it did the job.
What happened to prov evo? January 18, 2010 Kris Tearse (Leicester, UK) I remember back in the day when there was nothing better than Pro Evo... other than a crafty sausage sandwich with Heinz Ketchup. I picked this up for what I was sure would be a bargain 7.95 and as it was 42.05 cheaper than something which costs £50 so I thought 'Why the hell not?'. I now wish I hadn't bothered. I shall bullet point where I consider the negatives to be and then follow it with the positives.
1) (Not a bullet point its a number)The shooting is impossible (almost)
2) There's no point running at defenders as you can't take anyone on
3) Tackling is only possible if you slide... you can't bully them off the ball.
4) The AI is awful.
5) You can rarely beat defenders.. you end up with 4 or five following you everywhere.
6) I'm bored of negatives... far too many.
Positives? What? Never.
Pro Evo is Pro Evo... October 9, 2009 W. U. D. Bhatti (London, UK) Excellent game as I already knew about it. I should admit that this year, I played FIFA and was quite impressed by its graphics and player movements. But there is something about FIFA which make you get bored very soon. I mean at some stage, you start realising as if the players have been moving and running in the same pattern or some predefined lines. Whereas the movement and game play in Pro Evo is so damn real... I mean until the next version comes out, you can never get bored...
Apart from this, the merchandiser delivered what he had promised and was done with in 3/4 working days.
Fifa 09 can kiss my PES September 21, 2009 WaxAttax (London, UK) A huge improvement on the 2008 version. Granted there are still some niggling issues with the passing and unnecessary slide tackling by the computer, however, as a game which you can play with your mates from 10pm till 6am it is huge fun. Just like a game is supposed to be!
The master league is as good as always and the champions league mode adds a touch of class to an already excellent game. Plus it has full Liverpool licensing!!! (Come on the Kop)
Looking forward to PES 2010!
Pro lost its touch September 5, 2009 Iqbal Hoque (London, England) Pro evoultuion has laways bragged about having better gameplay than its competitor. With Pro Evolution 2009 this argument flies out of the window. The Gameplay has taken a huge step back from 2008 which wasn't that great itself. Dribbling is so robotic and unsynchronised you could pull your hair out. When recieving a ball it looks they are ice skating.
Graphics wise this is appauling. The players and the pitch just don't mesh and it looks like thye players are from one game and the pitch is from another. The menu is overly bright and ugly. This game is a real dissapointment to the Pro evolution series.
