Product Description
Buzzers required to play - Not included The PS3 version has your name all over it - literally. Buzz! Quiz World lets you build your own personal player profile and tracks how well you're doing - not through a leaderboard but through the words of Buzz himself. He'll address you by name and he'll keep notes on what you're good at and what you're not - and he'll make you, your family and friends giggle with personal quips when you least expect it. As well as 5,000 brand-new questions, the game features new characters, new rounds including a highly messy gunge tank round (so watch your outfit), and a new range of game modes that let you choose exactly how you want to play - whether you fancy a quick, fun game with your friends, or a seriously entertaining clash of general knowledge brainpower with your family, Buzz! Quiz World lets you decide. Sofa vs. Sofa online play has also been given a boost - now, with 8-player match ups for PlayStation Network quiz battles.

| Customer Reviews: Fantastic! June 23, 2010 M. Jende (West Sussex) Great for friends on a sat night. Online play is also brilliant up to 8 people playing.
Superb fun, with one slight flaw May 30, 2010 M. R. Greenhead (London) For anyone who played Buzz on the PS2 this is the next step up. On the PS3 the graphics are superb (on a fairly large TV) and it makes you feel even more part of the game show. You are not going to get photo realistic graphics, but the cartoons and animations are well tuned.
The game itself, coupled with the new wireless buzzers, is excellent. The questions still challenge (although at times are a bit simple) and there is a real feeling of wanting to beat the opposition in to the ground. Also you can make your own quizzes so there are a huge number online. This has helped me to play against my kids as they are far better at some subjects (2010 charts for example!) than me.
Online play is tremendous, and this is where the games comes into its own. I haven't tried to compete against friends but I have played a game against 8 strangers. This makes it even more thrilling and random as you never know who you are up against. I think you can use your bluetooth headset to chat but I haven't done this - I could just imagine the abuse you could get if you are winning!
The one drawback is related to the online play. Either there are few people to challenge (I recommend pub closing time to find more people logging in) or the servers are either not working or, even worse, you are in the middle of a game and they freeze. Very annoying.
Overall, a terrific game and well worth a shade over £[]. For family get togethers there is nothing better, and now you can add 8 wireless controllers if you have the living room space and budget.
Highly recommended
Fundamentally flawed!!!! May 28, 2010 Mr. V. Ghahramani (UK) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Simply terrible! A Seriously flawed game. Can barely read the text. Not acceptable for a PS3 game in 2010. Because of this experience Will not buy a BUZZ product again. Can't believe how forgiving everyone else is!!!
Its Missing Something The Previous Game Had March 9, 2010 milesfb (Staffordshire) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased this game as I already owned Buzz Quiz TV. When it arrived I was excited to see how much better it is in every aspect, such as presentation, questions, rounds and the general pace & tempo of the game. After playing it about 3 or 4 times it just seemed to somehow lack the bizazz and edge the previous one had. For instance at the end of the previous game Buzz does a funny little act with the winner on the podium where the winners name scrolls round the edge which I thought was brilliant. This game doesn't have that anymore. Also at the end of the previous version the great finishing touch is where the catchy theme tune comes on together with the cast of the production team making it feel like you have literally just took part in a cheesy TV game show. This version doesn't do that. Buzz does just a little act by himself at the end and the game goes back to the menu screen. For some reason I really miss the way the previous game ended - it somehow made it a complete game show experience in a perfect excellent package, where the new version has none of that. So because of these missing minor details the new games lacks something which made the previous game so exciting to play. Therefore only 3 stars as its not really any improvement, despite the extra features it has - such as it says your name now - provided it is in the pre stored data base of course - mine isn't unfortunately. So buy it if you wish but don't expect any fantastic improvements. The previous game still holds its own.
Thanks for reading this,
Miles.
Ruined by Final Countdown February 19, 2010 JT_77 (UK) The whole game is pretty fantastic and then the Final Countdown lets it down. It reminds me of Gladiators, were one guy wins every round (whilst the other gets battered around) yet only gets a 3 second head start on the Final showdown and then because he is knackered he falls on the travelator and the other guy storms to victory.
They need to improve the final round weighting or go back to the old style from the PS2 days.
Also could do with having some more of the quirker games that the PS2 versions had.
All in all, great fun. I'm just a frustrated runner up!
